I love the beach. I love to see people meditating alone by the ocean or taking long walks along the surf. I love the serenity, the beauty, the amazing sunsets. Yes, I’d say that I’m happiest on the beach; surrounded by life’s blessings.

“Consider the lilies of the field. Look at the fuzz on a baby’s ear. Read in the backyard with the sun on your face. Learn to be happy. And think of life as a terminal illness, because, if you do, you will live it with joy and passion, as it ought to be lived.” – Anne Quindlen
I tend to prefer taking Charlie to the beach at sunset, but today we ended up going for an early evening brisk walk around the Laguna Condado instead. It’s become safer as more and more people are jogging, cycling or simply walking like me. I particularly enjoy the mysterious shadows and refreshing breeze. Perfect backdrop for interesting images.
“Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself” – Franklin D. Roosevelt
I absolutely agree with FDR, which is why when a pilot friend asked me if I’d like to go up with him, in a rather small plane, to photograph the sights between San Juan and Arecibo, I said… “I’d be thrilled!”
So up, up to the sky we went. It was only once airborne, half way into our journey and after piloting the aircraft myself that I admitted to him… “Actually, I’m terrified of flying!”
There’s truly no better way to see the beauty and sights of Puerto Rico.
